Robert Shepherd, Memory and loss

Memory and loss

Charcoal and Wolff’s carbon pencil on cold press watercolour paper

Exploring objective/subjective aspects of informed and accidental mark making, the drawing addresses the aftermath of bushfire and the emptiness of dementia.

The curtain reveals a living room. Within it is a play of interior/exterior space juxtaposed with the void of random marks that infiltrate it.
